SOS Children’s Villages Kazakhstan is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children without parental care and families at risk. Since its founding in 1994, the organization has been working to ensure that every child grows up in a loving and secure environment.
Operating in Almaty, Astana, Temirtau, and Karaganda, SOS Kazakhstan runs family-like care programs (SOS Children's Villages) which provide long-term care in a family setting, as well as youth programs and Family Strengthening Programs that aim to prevent family breakdown by empowering vulnerable families and communities.
The organization is part of the global SOS Children’s Villages International federation, which is active in more than 130 countries. Over the past 30 years, SOS Kazakhstan has helped more than 3,000 children and young people find safety, education, and a path to a better future.
